"Our jib is actually already pulled up and it’s just rolled up along the – around the jib stay which is the wire in the front of the boat. To unroll the jib, we have a furling line which we will uncleat. I can take my jib sheet and begin to pull the sail out and as I pull it out we’ll see the black furling line rolling up on the spool at the front of the boat or at the bow of the boat and that allows the jib to roll out. When I want to make the jib go away at the end of the day, I just pull on the black line which will then roll the jib back up. this is called a roller furling jib and it makes sailing handy because we don’t have to go and attach our jib to the front of the boat each day we go sailing, all we have to do is unroll it. so that’s a rolling furling jib, again to unroll the jib we release the black line from the cam cleat and you can pull our jib sheet out. When I have my jib trimmed the way I want it do or set where I want it to be, I can then cleat it off on the wench. "
