"UNIQUE ANDERSON: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Unique Anderson and I'm here at Energy Fitness in New York City, and we're talking about speed, agility and plyometric step training. Okay, what we're going to do now is a jump squat to one-leg balance. Now, what that is focusing on is stability at the ankle and the hip. Remember, the ankle and the hip are the most complex joints in your body, so you want to focus on that stability. Now, again, if you have an older adult, all you have to do is have him step here and try to hold. Again, if they can't--if they don't have the balance, get a body bar, hold on to their hand. Alternate, step up and hold, that's it. It seems fairly easy. When you come down to that squat now, you want to hold on one leg. Hop, hold, hop, hold, focusing on our stability at the ankle, landing nice and light. That's your one-leg balance plyometric jump squat."
