"VINCENT JAMAL: Hi, I'm Vincent on behalf of Expert Village. What we're going to do is we're going to talk about Brian's start and his first five steps again. And this is a very important part of the route running because what he wants to do is--go ahead and start it out and just walk it out. He wants his first five steps to be explosive, and then he gets to a point where he takes his plant step. And now, Chris doesn't know what he's going to do. Chris has to make a choice and if Brian can get to him fast enough, he's going to make--Chris have to choose into turning his hips one way or the other because sooner or later, Brian's forward speed will outdo Chris' backpedaling. So, go ahead and take it back to the line of scrimmage. And this is a proven technique. If you can make him choose first, you've really got an advantage. So, what I like to do--set, hike. There you go. Good breakdown. And he's still in--at that point, Chris has got to make a choice sooner or later. Go ahead and run it back, line of scrimmage. And this is going to be full speed. BRIAN: Stop at full speed? VINCENT JAMAL: Stop at full speed. Set, hike. BRIAN: Wow. I'm sorry about that. VINCENT JAMAL: That's okay. BRIAN: I'm a little nervous. VINCENT JAMAL: That's okay. And normally, you wouldn't have that. Normally, he would stop and turn or do something else. But that shows you the importance of how much force he's putting into running his route. And you see how fast Chris has to get back into his coverage, and he's got to make a choice sooner or later. So, one more time. Set, hike. And Chris is bailing out. Sooner or later, you'll see how much room Brian has made up on Chris. And sooner or later, Chris has to make a choice. And that's what you want to do is outthink your defender."
