"Okay, we're talking about, now, mental aspects of shooting. And the biggest thing about keeping your mental attitude is not focusing on your previous shots -- like me, I've been out here all day shooting around, missing. Well, don't think about it. Put it out of your mind. Concentrate on where to focus. You can control your focus. You can control your concentration. So every shot is a new shot. You're putting past shots out of your mind, and focusing on a healthy attitude, a healthy mental focus. Beforehand, lots of professional players will listen to music -- some will listen to music, some will have silence, some will meditate. Actually, envision yourself hitting the shot and you're going to hit the shot. It's all a mental attitude. Positive mental attitude combined with good, solid practice -- focus mentally that you're going to hit the shot and, a lot of it, 80% of basketball, is mental focus, 20% physical ability, even though some of us are more gifted than others. So, mental focus."
