"Hi. This Travis on behalf of expert village talking to you today about basketball beginner. Beginner basketball rules, ettiquette, shot selection all the things associated with basketball. What I want to talk about today is when you are out looking for a public place to play. You know, like we have here we have just a basic public court. What we want to look for first off before we start doing anything. Is we want to look at the court surface. Make sure that it's smooth. Make sure that there's really no cracks that you're going to be tripping on. I've seen basketball courts where there is grass growing out of the cracks. There's debris all over the place. What you want to do is if we just take a look aroung here. You can see that there are some rocks on the surface. Some of them are a little bit larger so you just want to either pick them up or kick them off. Sometimes it's not a bad idea to carry around a broom. To sweep it off. It will make the job a lot faster but these big ones, they can you know if you step on them you can, you can see what's gonna happen. Your foot will slide. So you just want to make sure that you're picking up the court looking it over. Getting rid of all the debris. And you are also looking for, you can see here that there is a little bit of a flaw in the surface but that's not that big of a deal. Your foots not going to get stuck in that. It's not something that is really going to trip you up so that's not as big of a concern. You want to look for know, gaps, cracks, grass growing out, uneven surfaces that go up and down. Holes and dips. Things that would collect water. All of those types of things that you're going to be looking for. You want to make sure our surface is clean and free of debris and then we will be ready to start enjoying ourselves and getting some exercise and playing some ball. "
