on 8/2/2008 Thanks for the vids, Tres, I've learned a good deal of tips. I also would be appreciative if you could inform me on a Martial Art that generaly builds itself around the use of Daggers/Knives. I, too, am a Christian and I hope God blesses you.

"Hi. I'm Tres Tew. I'm an instructor here at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts and today I'm going to be talking to you on behalf of Expert Village, about how to use a knife for self defense. Now keep in mind guys when you are training with knives, training guns and things of that nature, you always want to keep in mind, when you are out on the street, the different levels of force. Punches are not quite as bad as blunt weapons. Blunt weapons aren't as bad as bladed, and then of course, you have handguns and rifles that are always considered lethal. So you want to keep that in mind when you train. Also, when you do train, use fake weapons; use rubber. It's something that is pretty sturdy that you can use that's pretty realistic, but it's not going to cause any damage. Also, air soft pistols are great for training. You can cock them and simulate the sound so you can kind of pick where the line of trajectory is going. Things like that are great. Just keep in mind that you want to be safe. Use protective eye wear most of the time, especially if you are using actual BBs with the Air Soft and if you are using a metal bladed weapon that has no edge. So just keep safety in mind and use protection when training. "
