How to Surprise Your Attacker with a Hidden Knife

"Hi, I'm Tres Tew. I'm an instructor here at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts and today I'm going to be talking to you on behalf of Expert Village, about how to use a knife for self defense. Now we are going to be talking to you a little bit about when someone has you cornered and they have their knife against your throat. You have a hidden knife; the only thing is: how do I get it? They are asking for your wallet. Okay, I'm going for my wallet, but you have a knife back there. Maybe you have a folder that you are ready to flip out or something. Just know where your knife is. Hopefully you are right handed person and if not, then you tell them your wallet is on your left side. This hand, slowly, without them knowing what you are doing, comes up and is ready to defend against that. So you are coming up in here (I'm getting my wallet, okay. I'm getting it), push and cut across either the throat or stab in. Again, you have many options depending on the level of lethality you want to use. So we are going to do that one more time. Okay, I'm going for my wallet. Just don't have a cow, okay; I'm getting it. And then all of a sudden, you are able to do whatever you need to do. So that's how to defend yourself against someone who has their knife to your throat. "
