Defend Against a Handgun in a Doorway

"Tres Tew here; I'm an instructor at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts and on behalf of Expert Village, we are going to be going over handgun self defense. Now in this situation, an intruder has broken into your home. We are utilizing hiding behind a door and utilizing the element of surprise to our advantage. So when your attacker comes through the doorway, we are gaining control of the gun, striking with an elbow to the face. Now, at the same time, we are slamming the head into the doorway and kneeing, we are reaping the gun away. Then we are simply pushing at the back of the neck, down into the ground. From here, we can just switch our hands and hold him there, or we can back off and hold him at a distance. Distance is better, okay? If they'd had any training in gun disarms, they'll do the same thing you are trying to do now: disarm you. So come through one more time. Gain control, elbow, head to the doorway, knee as you reap the gun away. Push down to there and then we are going to move away. So come on up. That's how to defend yourself when an intruder has broken into your home and is passing through a doorway. "
