"My name is Tres Tew. I'm an instructor here at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts and on behalf of Expert Village, today I'm going to be talking to you a little bit today about stick fighting or Escrima stick fighting. Now I'm going to be showing you how to use two Escrima sticks to defend against a knife. Now, your attacker comes in with a thrust. You just block both out of the way. If they don't drop the knife with that first, you are pushing it here and then striking it here. They are probably going to let go of the knife. If they don't just keep hitting it. Okay, so they are going to drop the knife. From there, hook up with this one, up under the chin. This opens up the body. Butt strike, put the arm down, strike here, strike here. You've got all of these strikes. You've got a lot of ticks you can do. Pretty much the initial...when you take the knife away, that's the most important. You want to get that block because a knife is nothing to joke around. The block is probably the most important part. So you are coming around here and smacking, getting the knife away. Then you've got all the stuff you can do. That's how to defend yourself with two Escrima sticks against a knife. "
