"Hi. I'm Tres Tew. I'm an instructor at Yeshua's Ryu Martial Arts and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to be talking to you a little bit about open hand combat. Okay, now we are going to show you how to defend yourself from a choke when someone has pushed you against a wall. Now, he's pushing me and choking me into the wall. His hands are around my throat. Now, once you are up against the wall, get a good control of this hand right here (his right hand). Raise this hand straight up, come across with an elbow across his face right here. You are pulling on his hand at the same time that you are doing that. Then you are pulling again, coming with an elbow back across. Once you've done that, grab the wrist just like this. Take the head, right here, and as you step out, just slam it into the wall. You've still got this wrist if you need it. Take it straight into a shoulder press and he's up against the wall, a good position if you need to hold him there for a while. Now we are going to do one in fast motion; okay, go. Okay, he's choking me; here, here, smack, and take it to a shoulder crank right here. That's how to defend yourself against a choke when someone pushes you against the wall."
