" Hi! This is Steve Jimenez with Fit and Fearless Krav Maga at www.fitandfearless.com. And I’m here with Marissa, and this time, going into this next segment, we left off with the knee, from the last segment with the round kick, where Marissa drove a knee to my head. So now we are going to go right into that. Again, just like the elbows, the knees are very strong, very hard and very devastating combatives. We actually like to call them the game enders or the fight enders. So from here what we are going to do is… Marissa come in for some hard knees, ready, go. Nice and slow. Now coming in with the knee, notice how Marissa has her stance. She needs to be in a good base. We talked about this earlier in stance, and we talked about the fighting stance and the passive stance. Notice she has her base set up again. She needs to have this foundation right here. Now come up a little bit. You are going to see that she is going to have her forearm up across my neck and my clavicle, so the more I push forward, the more pressure it’s going to be putting on my neck, but I am actually doing this to myself. So she is actually developing a good wall, a good base and a good wall right up here. Now when she is going to deliver, she has got her knee straight up to the back. What she is going to do is I am pushing forward and she is going to allow me in and deliver her knees straight up to the mid section. There you go. Good. And time. Now, these knees can be delivered to several different areas. Come on up. As you can see from this position right here, she can deliver the knee right to the groin by pushing me forward back. She can deliver the knee coming straight up to the mid section; she can deliver to the face. Pretty much right here, she has pretty good control. Notice how from here she has the back of my tricep. This is what’s going to control my arm. If she is holding me here, I can actually pull my arm to try to get it away. If she holds me here, now it is going to a lot harder for me; she can control me here. Go ahead and switch your stance. She has her forearm up here and from here, when she drives her knee, her heel is going to be real close and tight to the body. I’m sorry, switch your stance. That’s right. When she drives her knee, her heel is going to come right close to her body right here. She is going to make her knee a lot tighter, a lot softer, making it a harder weapon. "
