Series Summary

Krav Maga is an Israeli-developed method of self defense and hand-to-hand combat utilized by Israeli security forces originally, though presently it is used in military regimes and police forces globally. Krav Maga is also taught as a martial arts class, though it is generally simplified in comparison to the authentic military version, which features killing techniques and methods most civilians would not need. Krav Maga has gained popularity as a martial arts class in the United States recently, due to its emphasis on self-defense and opponent anticipation.

In this free video clip series, you will watch as an expert introduces you to the art of Krav Maga, and demonstrates basic, essential moves and techniques which can be helpful for anyone looking to improve their self-defense skills. Proper and effective methods for disarming combatants, inflicting powerful groin kicks, punching and striking moves as well as carjacking defense and hostage scenario moves are included.

" Hi! I am Steve Jimenez with Karv Maga Fit and Fearless and this Heath Jones. We are both instructors. On behalf of Expert Village, this is an introduction to Krav Maga. The IDF is really Defense Force System. This was developed by the Israeli defense many years ago and we have it here now in the US. If you have any questions, or if you like to learn or get a little more information on Karv Maga, you can contact me at dragon@fitandfearless.com or www.fitandfearless.com. I have three black belts in three different arts that would be Muay Thai, kick boxing and tai kwon do. I am also the heavy weight champion of the ISC championship, which is the MMA fighting. I have been holding that title for almost a year and a half. Karv Maga, what it can do for you, like other systems, like jujitsu in the martial art systems, the one thing that we differ from them is we do not have a lot of forms, lot of katas, we do not waste a lot of time on that. You know a lot of people that come to Karv Maga who are now looking for that. They are looking for quick results, immediate results and they want to learn how to defend themselves, may be something has happened to them, may be something happened to the loved one or may be they just saw something on TV that scared them. They want to be able to come in and learn something immediately to be able to defend themselves and that is what Krav Maga brings to the table. We do not waste a lot of time on forms or katas. We go straight into action. We use the weapons that are available, our face, palm, heel strikes, elbows, head butts, knees and kicks. So, we do not do any kind of flying, spinning, jump kicks or anything like that still is not practical on a street. "
