"Hello, this is Steven Vargas with Expert Village. In this clip we'll be going over how to perform a squat using a resistance band. So what we're going to do here is step in to the tube, nice wide stance, you're going to pull the handles up to the shoulder level. From this position you're keeping the chest up, the abs tight and you want to go for a sitting motion, pushing your hips back and you bring right back up. We push the hips back to avoid the knees from coming past the toes so we're not putting unwanted tension on the joints in the knees. Again, push your hips back and sit straight down and push up through the heels. Looking to come down to the ninety degree level, engage all the muscles in the lower body and come right back up. "
