"Hi! My name is Susan Hilferty. I am the owner and founder of Pole Fitness Studio, the original pole dancing school of Miami located in Coconut Grove, Florida. You can find us on the net at www.polefitnessstudio.net. I am here to explain the newest craze in exercise. I want to go to the next move that we have, we call the Flamingo, which is perfect for Miami. It is actually a transitional move. We are going to have one leg on the side of the pole and bring the other one up; I call this passé since I was a professional ballet dancer. Other arm up -- your whole body comes all the way down on to one side. You are going to arch your whole body using your abdominal muscles all together. Bring in the other arm, you are going to plié front, side, to the back, and go under the arm and then boo, just shut your whole body back on to the pole. Let’s do that again: put your right arm on the pole, left foot by the base of the pole, come up to a passé, always point your feet. Very important: always engage your abdominal muscles. Posture is very important. Coming down on one side of your pole, lifting all the way up and engaging your muscles, plié like a ballerina all the way around and underneath. Good, you’re done."
