"One of the rules of the code is being able to get on and off the chairlift safely. What we're going to talk about here is getting on the lift safely with snowboard. There are three primary things that we have to consider. One is that your board needs to be straight in line with the cable on the chairlift. The second thing is you always want to look over your inside shoulder, and when I say inside shoulder, I'm not talking about over your shoulder wherever the bar is coming, Ok. Then the third thing is when the chair gets up behind you, all you have to do is sit down. So the three things about getting on a chairlift and getting off a chairlift, the three things on getting on are: board straight, look over your inside shoulder whichever shoulder that may be, and sit down. Where they tell you to stop, board straight, look over your inside shoulder, sit down."
