"My name is Tim Boucher soccer coach of LaSalle Academy for Expert Village. One of the biggest keys to a soccer team is your defense. Some people call them full backs or backs, these are your guys that are your last line of defense before you get to your goal keeper. Defenders, you have one of the most important jobs in your team, cause the key is being able to support each other. The key is learning how to contain and not just attack. As someone is dribbling towards you, instead of just attacking the ball you want to come back and support the person before you attack the ball you want to stay with them. You always want to make sure as well defenders that you know where your goal is. You want to stay between your man and the goal, because if you're not, if you're off to the side, that's a nice easy shot for the other team to have on the goal. Making sure that you support each other, it is your job. You play your position from your end line all the way to mid field on the defensive end and you usually stay in between those positions and not pushing all the way forward. You want to stay back and stay in control."
