"Some of the common mistakes with the heel flip shove-it 180 basically have to do with setting your feet up and figuring out what position works best. The best position to get the heel flip that you need to get is going to depend on sometimes how fast you're rolling and sometimes how; you're timing of the heel flip shove-it. Let me show you how some people sometimes mistakenly heel flip, under heel flip. Sometimes people set up like this with too much foot on the board. This will cause you to not be able to heel flip all the way and your board will land upside down. This is a pretty common mistake. What you want to do is find out the heel flip position that is best for you. Sometimes this will require hanging your toe off a little more and sometimes this will require you putting a little more foot on the corner of the tail. There is something about the pressure that is created when you put your foot on the corner of the tail and your heel on the corner of the front where it's doing the flipping and combining those two motions to send the board over in a heel flip shove-it position. Again heel flip shove-its, are just going to require a lot of practice and a lot of testing out of different foot placements. Also, combining the timing that it's going to take for you to jump, ollie, and heel flip and shove-it all at the same time."
