on 10/24/2009 Great videos. I've been doing water aerobics for 4 years and learned several new exercises here that I'll put to use this week. Excellent quality, useful, easy to follow. Thanks!

"Kicking with a kickboard is one of the greatest cardiovascular exercises you can do in a pool. Always remember to hold the kickboard comfortably, hands on the side, and when you're kicking, point with your toes. You want a basic flutter kick. It's just pointing your toes and kicking one foot on top of the other. If you're an advanced swimmer or you've ever swam competitively, you can mix it up and include the butterfly trick or the breast stroke kick. But for those of you who haven't, just stick with the flutter kick. Let's get in the pool and do some flutter kicking. When kicking, make sure you're toe are always pointed, and your knees are slightly bent. You want to make slight splashes with your feet, but they don't need to be too exaggerated. If you're an expert swimmer or you've ever swam competitively, you can incorporate the butterfly kick, both legs together, undulating from the hips. Or you can include the breast stroke kick, working the inner and outer thighs. No matter what you do, remember that kicking is a great cardio workout and you want to really up the intensity here. You can go widthwise of the pool or you can go lengthwise. "
