"Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlochlin with crazysheryl.com and on behalf of expertvillage.com we want to talk about how to run in snow shoes. First, of all I want to show you just a really quick demonstration. I'm going to tell you why it is so important to learn how to run in snowshoes. Okay guys are you ready? On get mark, get set, run. I want to tell you why you would ever want to do this. I remember a time when I was on snowshoes and in the far distance I saw a avalanche coming right at me. There could be a moose. Not that you can out run a moose but there could be some danger where you actually have to know how to run. It is the same thing as walking. We are going to run back this way again but you really do have to pick up your legs depending on how deep the snow is. We are going to try this one more time but mostly picking up those legs high and being able to run. You can run with your poles or hold your poles. I would try to run with my poles this time. Ready, go. That is how you run with snowshoes. "
