Most people think that it is impossible to walk on water... not the case thanks to this video clip series on snowshoeing! All you need now is a 32 degree rainy day outside and some webs on your feet and you can walk across stretches of frozen rain for as long as you like. They work by distributing a persons weight over a larger surface area so they don't sink into the snow. Snowshoes were originally developed over 4000 years ago probably somewhere in central Asia for hunters and travelers to be able to cover large areas of frozen terrain in search of food or shelter.
