Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlachlin with crazysheryl.com and welcome to expertvillage.com. We've been talking today about hiking and walking in the winter cold months. The time that it is very coldest, but it is so rewarding to get out and hike and walk outside. One of the very important things you want to do is find someone to go walking with you. Now 5 years ago I started a hiking group and one of the ways I did this is to be able to tell my neighbors and friends and there are places like community education programs, adult community ed, and just putting little flyers around your neighborhood and tell them on that little flyer that you have started a fun little walking group or a hiking group. It's important for your safety to try not to go alone. If you're going to go very far, further away from your home. Especially in the mountains where I live, here in Salt Lake City, Utah, to stay away from hiking alone in the mountains. Good safety tip.
