"Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlochlin with CrazySheryl.com, and welcome to ExpertVillage.com. We're talking about enjoying this outdoor weather and getting outside in the cold and being able to hike and walk and just being able to enjoy this great weather and not being cooped up and having cabin fever. Too many people are afraid of the cold, and with just a few pieces of knowledge you can get outside and have a great time. This is the backpack that I carry on all of my hikes, whether I'm walking downtown or anywhere I go I can keep all of my most important emergency essentials in there. And, then also, whether I'm on a hike, I definitely always carry this backpack with me along with plenty of water and food and snacks. It's really important to understand how your mentality -- your attitude -- plays an important effect. Always keep a positive attitude. Remember, if you're moving, you'll stay much warmer. At the beginning of a walk or hike, you're going to be colder, but don't get into a wining, complaining mode, because that just makes everything a lot worse. Just have a positive attitude and say I'm just going to walk, I'm going to walk fast, and I'll get warmer. And keep your attitude really positive and you'll have a great time."
