"Hi, this is Sheryl McGlachlin with crazysheryl.com and welcome to expertvillage.com. We're talking about really being able to enjoy the outdoors and being able to walk or hike in the coldest weather of the year. Doesn't matter where you live. You really want to be able to come outdoors and enjoy the outdoors and be comfortable. I want to talk about trails. There are single track trails. We just happen to be on a sidewalk, here. A single track trail is going to be a more narrow area and again, having poles will really help with that. Snow pack trails are kind of like what I am standing on. It happens to be a sidewalk again. But lots of times the snow will be packed down and you will be able to see your shoes and again, having poles, because the snow can be very, very lumpy and that can definitely kind of twist your ankle. So having some poles for balance really, really helps. But snow packed trail are great. Now, over here, there?s lots of deep, powder snow. What Utah is known for is great, wonderful, deep powder snow. You need to stay out of that unless you have snow shoes or unless you are prepared to go into places and that is another really important thing to know about different kinds of places to walk, where you should go, and where you shouldn't."
