"Hi, my name is Sheryl McGlochlin with CrazySheryl.com and welcome to ExpertVillage.com. Today we're talking about walking and hiking in the winter and ways that you can make it really really nice and fun. This is my neighborhood. I live here in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I love being able to walk around my neighborhood. And I want to talk about some different ways that you can do this and make it a fun, exciting experience. The first thing you want to do is test your clothes. We're going to be talking about clothing, and you want to stay close to home. So, just plan on going out for 5 or 10 minutes. Walk just right around your block and see if you are comfortable and warm. You can kind of see what kind of streets. We happen to have snow and ice a little bit on the streets. But, we're going to talk about shoes and ways to make sure that you don't have to worry about slipping and falling. That you can really enjoy this beautiful sunshine, and it's a great way to get outside and enjoy the winter."
