"SHERYL MCGLOCHLIN: Hi, this is Sheryl with ExpertVillage.com, and today we're talking about how to build a campfire in your own backyard in the snow. We've talked about kindling and how you need to get kindling ready before you can start the fire. Well, we want to talk a little bit about wood. Now, these are just some great pieces of logs and they just come from any kind of trees. We have lots of evergreen trees here in the Salt Lake area and our mountains. And you want to get this down. First of all, all of your wood needs to fit inside your pit. So you want to make sure you cut it so that it will fit inside this pit. You can use different kinds of wood. Some of the things that you want to stay away from, however, are lumber with nails. Yes, you can even use lumber from construction sites, but stay away from nails that is in lumber, and also you want to stay away from treated wood. And there's some treated wood out there that is not a good thing; sometimes comes from construction sites and other places. So you want to stay away from any kind of treated wood, but other than that, any kind of wood would be great in helping you build your own fire. And we're going to kinda show you some of these things on how it's going to work, and you'll see how that works in just a minute."
