"Hello! My name is Sid Nelson, master instructor in Martial Arts. I'm representing expertvillage.com. Okay, the next punch we're going to begin is called the reverse punch. Stepping out to a front stance. Unlike the lunge punch where you have say the left punch and the left leg, we're going to use the opposite now. The left leg, left front stance and the right punch. This makes it a reverse punch. The arm is coming from the back. When we are stepping with the reverse punch, keep in mind we want to keep our punch nice and level. When we step, same thing applies. We want to use our timing between our punch and our step. As I step, I want to wait with the arms. When I place the foot down, I want to throw the punch from the rear making it a reverse punch. We can throw our punches in going forward and also backwards. Stepping backwards, wait for the arms, and when the foot touches in the back, make the punch. A reverse punch is a very powerful punch and can be placed to several different targets. Again, you can even exercise with your yell. When I throw the reverse punch, I can mix the yell in with it. Now, I'm timing the step, the punch, and the yell all together. "
