" Hi my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and for expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to be showing you self defense against the front bear hug. So anytime somebody rushes you and tries to grab you and hold you stationary. See what you do is you step back, with the rear leg and put most of the weight to the front leg. Take the palms and you are going to press straight against the hip bones, bend you knee, and from there you could chin kick, you can stomp on the foot. But, this is the main act let me show you on him first. So as he grabs take a step back and at the same time us your palms against the hip bones. From there you could knee and chin kick. Okay so on the body the hips the hip bone is right here that controls the function and then your balance so you want to use the bottom part of your palm and strike downward this way as you step back. This way your weight drops so he can't tackle you backwards or you can't be pull forward. So once again when he grabs just this part and step back and at the same time push. He might even just let go at that but, if he still close by just pick up the rear leg and knee up straight to the groan as hard as you can then on the rear leg kick straight to the knee. Once again so he grabs, step back, palm him, knee, chin, kick and then they let go. That is self defense for the front bear hug."
