" Hi my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and for expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to be showing you self defense against the front choke. So some one ever walks up and tries to choke you straight on okay what you could do is you take one hand. In this case we use the left hand and the right leg. We use the left hand on the right leg. You bring your arm straight up. Just hold on top of the forearm. Make sure the thumb is on top of the form as well. Keep the elbow tucked in. step back with the right leg see by doing this it naturally releases his grip and plus this drops the weight. So he can't rock me side to side cause that is equal balance on both sides. From here you could spear straight up to the throat. Just like this. Now as you spear to the throat you could come up with the knee straight to the groan and he is guarantee to let go. So if he grabs again. So grab, straight up with the left, down, spear to the throat, and knee straight to the groan. Now what you don't want to do is this common error is people they would grab and step back with the same side. By doing that he could easily twist me and throw me this way. So if I grab here and step back this way if he tries to twist nothing happens I don't go anywhere. Either way. So it is very important that you try to do it simultaneously so he grabs just step back, spear, straight to the groan. From here you could do anything you want you can kick to the knee, you could take this hand, you could spear to the eye, you could grab, or you could just go from straight to here you could sweep, you could hook and push, straight down, the possibilities are endless. The main point again is just grab with one side, step back with the other, spear and knee. That is self defense against the front choke. "
