" Hi my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and for expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to be showing you self defense against the shoulder grab. So anytime your walking somebody could try to grab your shoulders side ways or maybe they want to take something off your shoulders. What you could do is just grab there hand, step back slightly, and bend the knees, pick your arms straight up, don't come over side ways it has to go straight up. Okay then twist naturally use your elbow as you pull the hand firmly and go straight down. This could break the elbow right here and also by holding the wrist from the firmly locks the wrist in position so if he grabs again so grab, step, bend the knees, swing the arms straight up, bring the elbow over, twist, and straight down. Now from here what you could do you can keep this hand here don't let go just turn, grab his palm, press your thumbs straight in and he would go straight down to the ground. This could break the wrist very quickly. So once again if he grabs, place your hand on there, step back, bend the knees, swing your arm up, twist, go straight down, and from here hold the hand, grab and press in. Use you body weight on this. Press straight in because if you just stop here not much would be done he could get back up so you have to press down and actually force him to the ground. From here you could do whatever you want you could kick to the head while holding, you could stomp on the inside of the shoulder and they will let go quickly and that is self defense against the shoulder grab."
