"On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Stephen Koepfer at New York Combat SAMBO in New York city, and today I'm going to be demonstrating beginning SAMBO. In this clip, I'm going to show you the sitting throw. Basically, you find yourself in a position where one leg is behind you opponent, the other leg is to the side. The grip of this arm is less important, but you can do it from a grip up here behind the collar to pull him backwards, or elbow in the front, one that I like because often you'll find that he's grabbing your arm when you get to this position. You want to sit low so your knee is pushing him forward. We'll do it once slow and once fast. Remember, when you sit behind him, you're pushing backwards with your elbow and forward with your knee."
