"STEPHEN KOEPFER: On behalf on Expert Village, my name is Stephen Koepfer of New York Combat Sambo in New York City, and today we're going to show Sambo combinations. Okay, this next Sambo combination is going to involve two submissions from the north-south position. So my opponent is lying here, I'm in the north-south position. I'm going to be first attempting for a peck choke or a north-south choke. There are lots of names for this choke where I'm choking him from this position. Oftentimes, it doesn't work. It's much harder choke to do than [with the jacket, in fact. What can I do when this choke doesn't work is do leapfrog to sit on his stomach. I will let go of the neck, post on arms, and jump up to here. From here, I can attack his leg, fall to side, and finish the knee bar. So one more time, you'll find yourself in north-south, you're attempting this choke for some reason it's not working. He's defending very well. You direct your attack to his legs."
