"STEPHEN KOEPFER: On behalf on Expert Village, my name is Stephen Koepfer of New York Combat Sambo in New York City and today, we're going to show you Sambo combinations. Okay, the next Sambo combination we're going to do is starting on the ground and it's going to be a knee bar or a knee crush from my opponent's defense of my mount. So, from this position, which is the cross body position, often your opponent will put his leg up to try and prevent me from stepping over into a mount position. So, what I'll do is grab his leg, grab his thigh. I like to cross-face him over here by taking a grip and driving my forearm into his throat. From here, leaving the weight on his neck, my knee comes on to his belly, I turn and fall towards his free leg, my knee comes in between, and then I can finish with a knee bar. If the knee bar doesn't work, I can finish with a knee crush here, like that. So we'll do it one time faster. He's defending, knee bar, knee crush."
