"Now that you've learned a couple variations of the ollie, including the fakie ollie, and front side and backside 180s, maybe it might be time to perfect your straight ollies, and put a little style into it. One of the coolest tricks to do, is to do an ollie shifty. The ollie shifty is basically an exaggerated version of the ollie, that you can do once you've really mastered how it is to do an ollie. It's a cool thing to do, because it looks like you're going to travel backside or front side, but then you come back and straighten it out and roll away forward. So backside shifty, what you do is, you snap the ollie and as you drag your foot up, you point the board in a backside way; this causes your whole body to slightly twisted, because your feet are going one way, but your shoulders are staying straight. Because, you're going to end up bringing it back. So what you do for the shifty ollie, is you ollie up, point it backside, and down if you can, and bring it back and roll away straight. And this is one more variation that you can learn of the straight ollie. This is the ollie backside shifty."
