"Some of the common mistakes you'll experience while learning how to back side nose slide, or regular nose slide, will be sometimes you don't ollie and get enough of your nose on top of the ledge. This will cause you to get into the ledge too far away, like this, and you won't be able to hold it. The only way you're going to properly be able to nose slide is if you fix that. So that means ollying into the safe position with your entire nose on the top of the ledge. Another common problem that you may experience while learning how to ollie back side nose slide, is that you just can't figure out the distance that you need to be away from the ledge to ollie into it, to get into a good position. What this is going to require is just trial and error, because the height of every ledge is going to be different. So, the higher the ledge, sometimes the further away from the ledge you need to be. It doesn't sound like that would necessarily be true, but what happens is the more ollie that you put into your ollie into the nose, the higher you're going to go. So you need to compensate for the arc of the ollie to be able to get into it. So, and also, everyone's going to do this trick just a little bit differently, so the more practice you get the better. The other problem that people experience is being able to pop out of the nose slide. Almost every ledge is different. Some ledge are a little slicker than others, and some are sticky, you just have to feel the ledge out and test it out. But basically, get into a good nose slide, and then make sure you're able to pop out cleanly and evenly. This way it'll keep your feet stuck to your board, and you'll be able to roll away better."
