Summary: Learn how to use the English saddle cinch to keep the saddle from moving on the horse - free horseback riding lesson on video.
" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner. I'm an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I'm just saddling up the horse English, getting him all ready to go here. So I just went ahead and put the saddle on and also adjusted the pad and everything. I'm getting ready to cinch up the saddle. This saddle has 3 different cinches cinch buckles so he is going to get cinch up 3 different times. So the cinch you want it to go right so that it is not to far forward and not to far back but you want it to go right about here. If it is to far forward it would be rubbing right against his leg. If it is to far back we would be pulling the wire back and the next thing that you know the saddle is going to be you know sitting way back here when it is suppose to be right here on his withers. I did not put a martin gale on today or a breast collar but a English breast collar goes over his head and then it has a little loop like this right down here. You just put that little loop right over like if I were to do it it would be right over this part and slide it all the way up so it is even. Then you just buckle the breast collar to right here either the top or the bottom which everyone looks better on your horse. I usually do the bottom one but I didn't bring the breast collar today so that is why we are not using it. So now I'm going to go ahead and cinch him up."
