Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Sarah Stetner, I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I'm just showing you the intermediate steps of how to ride English equitation. I am trotting right now and I am posting. Now I am going to go ahead and ask the horse to go ahead and walk for me. In order to do this I stop posting and sit down on my saddle. I kind of tighten up my reins before I ask him for the transition so he knows that it is coming and I continue to keep my legs right where it is at. I'm going to go ahead and ask him. Walk. So I did sit down. Stop posting and kind of pulled back a little bit and I sat down with my hips on him. I went down a little bit. Drop my hips is what I call it and it does work. So that is how I did go from a trot to a walk. "
