"Same thing now with the backhand, you're in your ready position. Hopefully you've hit a deep enough shot you can get into the net and once you're in, you're in your ready position. Lets say the ball is coming towards your backhand side, again relax don't press it to much and you're turning your body and you're basically going to be making contact, not bringing your racket back so that you're way back here and you got to move your racket up to make contact. You're sticking your racket out, making contact and following through towards the net with an angle. Again with an angle. You can go down the line. You can go across court. And if you're opponent is coming in then its really critical to get a good angle on the shot. And I use a two-handed backhand when I'm hitting regular shots from the baseline, but a lot of times a two-handed backhand will limit you at the net so you can use it as kind of a guide, your left hand on the racket. As soon the ball comes up, I'll usually let go of it so that I can actually make a shot with one hand. And it actually gives me a little bit more freedom as far as angling the ball away. You don't want to get your racket to far out in front of your body, you want to kind of play it just off of your front foot and then just a little bit of an angle off to either side, should give you a winning point."
