"Hi, this is Sean Hobson. What we're talking about right now is how to run the motion and the motion set that we're working with right now is the one in, four out motion. There are different styles and ways to work this motion. Some of these styles of motions with the one in, four out are a pass-screen away style of motion, that's typically what we will run. But, there are some other styles of motion which are called "the dribble penetration" type of motion. What you're trying to do on that is we want our guards, if the offense becomes stagnant and these guys stop moving. For example if this guy is trying to cut in here to find an opening and he's moving back out here, these guys are setting screens for each other, then our motion is in good movement. But sometimes, people get lazy on the basketball court, this guy forgets to move. What needs to happen then is our guard has to realize that there is not a lot of motion going on here. He's going to have to create something for our other players. So what we want to have happen is, if he starts to penetrate, we want our post to move to the opposite block. This gives us two options, he got inside now, and he?s drawn the attention of this defensive player and this defensive player. Now he can either kick it to the post, lob it up to the post, or he could kick it out to this wing. That's dribble penetration in that way. Or, he could go ahead and move the ball to the wing, if that guy is open and he can dribble penetrate. What we want to do is, we want to keep this post player opposite the ball penetration. What that's going to do then is open up the inside post off the dribble penetration. That's another varied way that you can use the motion offense off the dribble penetration."
