"Hi, this is Sean Hobson. Right now we're working on running the motion offense. One of the most important things about running any type of offense is, we cannot have our wing players or our post players catch the ball with their back to the offense. We've always got to have them catch the ball, face the basket in what we call the "3D" or the ready position so that they can pass the ball, so that they can shoot the ball or they can drive the ball. So what we're going to show you here is we're going to run through a little bit of the motion offense, watch when these guys catch the ball as they catch the ball and they turn and face up and look at what's happening in the offense to see who is setting screens for who and to see who is going to be open. If they catch the ball and their back is to the offense, they can't see whether the post players have back-doored somebody or whether the wing is going back door or whether somebody set a nice screen and somebody's wide open. You don't know if you're not facing the basket. So just watch as we pass and catch right here as they spin and face the basket. You see every time, they catch and they face the basket, they face the offense. No offense can run when you're running it with your back to the offense."
