"Hi this is Sean Hobson. One thing you have to understand about the game of basketball is rebounding is very very important. Rebounding could be your tool to keep you in the game. It's also going to allow your team to shoot more offensively and get the ball defensively and be able to go down on the other end and score. So committing yourself to being a rebounder is a big big thing and could definitely help out your team. What we're going to show you right now is after the box out, how we're going to attack the basket and go get the basket ball at its highest point. So Zach right here is going to show you how to box out Ben good. So let's go through the steps. We're going to find him, we're going to make contact, we're going to get a good box out, we're going to root him out. Now it's time to go get the ball. What we're going to show you right here is once the shot goes up and hits off the rim, he now has to find where the ball is. He's then going to go and attack the basketball and when he does, it's very very important to go and get the ball at its highest point. You don't want to attack the ball on its way down because there's going to be other guys also going for the ball. So if you can try to go up and attack the ball at its highest point and wrestle it away from the other defenders, you're going to be much better at it. So we're going to show you here what it looks like to box out and go up and attack the basket ball. Go. Good, now even though the ball was on its way down when he went to get it, he still went up and got it at its highest point and its highest point doesn't mean that its on the rim. Now if you've got players obviously that are skilled enough to get up there and rip it off the rim that's what you want to do. But most of the time, you just want to try to get it at its higher point than what somebody else does that's going to make you an effective rebounder."
