"Hi, this is Sean Hobson. Right now we're talking about the man-to-man defense and the thing we're what to focus on right here is, always knowing where your man and the ball is. That's one of the most important things you can do to be an effective defender in the man-to-man defense. So, what we want to show right now is, obviously, when the ball is in the corner and it's on your man, you don't have to worry so much about where the ball and the man is because it's in the same place. Now, as the ball rotates, we want to watch our defender rotate, he wants to jump to the top side. He always wants to point with his hands. His hands are telling him and keeping control of where the ball is at on the floor. So right now he knows that the ball is here, he's pointing to the ball, he knows his man is here. Now watch as he adjusts as the ball goes to the next spot. Now that he's in help side, he's is now in a position where his hands are pointing to the ball and his hands are pointing to his man. He's got to know. He cannot have his back turned here to his man because if this guy cuts down the middle of the lane, he has no clue if his back is turned to the ball. You always have to know where the ball is. Now as the ball moves there, he's going to go ahead and come across now he's going to drop. He knows where the ball is, he knows where his man is and if this guy drives he could jump out on him, if his man moves, he could go with him. The most important thing is always know where that ball is because that's what scores and your man is because that's your responsibility. If you know those two things, you'll be a good defender."
