"Hi, this is Sean Hobson. What we want to talk about right now is, when talking about the man-to-man defense, one of the most important things is, getting back, sprinting back down, getting set up so that when the other team is trying to attack you that you can stop the ball and sometimes you're either going to have to pick up somebody else's man until everybody recovers or you're going to have to stop the ball and guard two players. But in the man-to-man style of defense, you've got to be able to sprint back and not worry so much about your guy. If your guy is standing back but the ball is going down the floor, it doesn't do you much good to guard your guy. So you've got to make sure that everybody sprints back, then you find your man. So, the first thing, the first step is, sprint back down the floor, second step is stop the ball, third thing is to find your man. Sometimes you're just going to have to pick up a different guy and then switch it up later. We're going to show you a little bit about what this looks like. This guy's guarding, or the white team is guarding the black here. So, when I shoot the shot, they're going to come down, the black is going to sprint back on defense and pick up the ball and make sure it gets stopped first, before they pick up their man. Here we go. You see that the black sprinted back, they got in position. We had our guard, he picked up one man, then they switched off but they got the ball stopped up high, they picked up their men in their offense. So, that's how you run the man-to-man defense when you sprint back, you beat the guys down and you pick up your man."
