"Hi, this is Sean Hobson for Expert Village. One thing that you can do to be very creative with the linebackers in the 4-3 set, is you can use the blitzing ability to get into the backfield. And hopefully sack the quarterback and hopefully make the tackle in the backfield. So right now we?re going to show you what we're talking about when we talk about blitzing. What we want to do is, we want to keep our outside linebackers, most of the time what you want to do is bring these guys. Now sometimes you'll bring your middle linebacker, but think about it, if you bring your middle linebacker up here in a blitz, you are taking everything out of the middle of the field. And these two guys are now going to have to cover everything in here. You can do that, but most of the time with blitz there's two outside linebackers. There's two ways we can do it. One is called the stunt. And what we're talking about when we stunt is, go ahead and show them what a stunt looks like. These guys are going to stunt and show the quarterback, and they can either go on the blitz, which means go all the way for the quarterback. Or they can stunt up, show it and then drop back to their original position. Then the other is just an all out blitz. When you call a blitz, you can't go half speed. This guy got to go at all costs and try to get himself in the background, in the backfield and try to make a big stop. Either a tackle or hopefully sacking the quarterback. And that's one way we can use your linebackers in a blitzing formation."
