"Hi, this is Sean Hobson, and what we're talking about right now is working with our shooting guards. This time instead of our shooting guard in the offensive role, we're talking about how important they are defensively. Everybody on the floor has got to make sure and sprint back on defense and not allow their defender, or the new offensive player, to beat them down the floor. Most of the time our point guard is the first guy that we have rotate out at the top of the key. Behind him is the shooting guard. Usually the shooting guards on the offense are going to be outside on the perimeter. They have to make sure that they sprint back, and not only help stop the ball, but they stop their man as well. So, I'm going to be playing at the point guard spot, I'm going to be shooting the ball. You're going to see what happens--after the rebound occurs, we want this defender to sprint back, then pick us his man or pick up the ball, whichever is coming down the floor first, and help out on defense. All right, here we go. Okay. Good. Go ahead, ball. All right, so you saw that this man, after the shot was made, they brought the ball in quickly, they attacked us back on offense, but our shooting guard did a good job of sprinting back, getting on defense, and not allow them to come right down the floor and score a layup. It's very important, not only is he a good shooting guard, but he gets back on defense as well."
