Hi, this is Sean Hobson. We're working with our post players right here. Our center is inside. And one thing we want to teach him is sometimes the defender is going to be playing behind the player. So right now let's show what it looks like when the defenders playing behind. If the defender is playing behind, it's really hard for a post player to catch the ball and drop step and attack the basket. Or it's hard for the player to catch and spin inside to go for a layup, because of the fact that the defender has decided to play him straight up. One of the best things you can do to that, is you can catch it in the post, and you reverse pivot and face up the defender. Now that puts the defender at a situation where he has to make a choice. Either he's going to step up and defend you, or he's going to back off and let you shoot. Sometimes post players are not very good shooters. So, we tell our guys if they turn and face up, just back off of them and let them shoot, and then we can get the rebound. So, what we're going to do right here is we're going to have our post player turn, face, then he's going to shot fake, then he's going to attack the basket in a move we call an up and under move. So he's going to turn, he's going to shot fake him, then he's going to step underneath the defense, take a power dribble, and finish. This is what it looks like at full speed. Here we go. He's going to turn, face, shot fake, good, takes it underneath, lays it up nice and soft. And that's what happens when you turn and face up, and the defender comes out and crashes on you, is a good way to get your post player some easy scores.
