"Hi, this is Sean Hobson. What we're talking about right now is how to make the best point guard that we can. What we're really focusing on right now is bringing the ball up against pressure. The point guards typically, even if there's not a full court pressure applied, most of the time, most teams will have a guy shadow the point guard on the way up. Very rarely does a point guard just bring the ball up without any pressure. What we want to talk about right now are some ball handling skills and some ways to protect the ball against the full court pressure. This is what we mean by full court pressure. It means, as our point guard is trying to bring the ball to the other end of the floor, this guy is going to be pressure defending him all the way up the court. One thing we got to make sure that our point guard does is protects the ball. That he stays low, that when he is dribbling the ball he has his shield out in front of him, he stays low and everything that he does is low and keeps the ball in close to him to protect the ball. We don't want this defender to have an easy job of reaching out and stealing the ball. This guy probably wants to keep his back to the offense, use the spin dribble and other techniques to bring it up. We're going to have Hunter right here, our point guard, show you what it looks like to come up against pressure defense. Go. You see how he keeps the ball low, he's keeping the ball away from the defender, and he's protected the ball all the way down. That's perfect execution of your point guard bringing the ball up against full court pressure."
