" Once you have established basic sail handling capabilities, you want to start paying attention to the shape of your sail. The best way to shape sails in the most simplistic way is by moving the block and car configuration. Generally you want to have it set in a neutral zone but, after awhile if the air begins to fall off in the afternoons, you may find that moving the car forward a little bit will create a fuller, fatter sail shape on your jib and allow you to be a little more efficient as you move into the water. Conversely, moving the sail or the block and car back will create a flatter sail shape, which is more efficient in high winds. "
