"Hello! My name is Samantha Rafael on behalf of expertvillage.com and you can visit me online at bepresentyoga.com. In this clip I’m going to be demonstrating side plank one legged lift. So first of all you need to come into side plank, to do this come onto your hands and knees, make sure when you place your hands down that their shoulders distance apart and your legs are hips distance apart. Start to walk your hands out in front of you a few inches and then lift one knee at a time into a plank position, push back through your heels so that some of the weight can come off of your shoulders, align your shoulders with your wrists, take your right hand to the center of your mat and roll over to the right side, stack your feet here. First bring your right foot into tree pose, take your fore finger, middle finger and thumb and wrap it around your big toe, when you’re ready extend the right leg up towards the ceiling using resistance here pushing up with the ball of the right foot and grabbing onto the right foot with the right hands, slowly release the right leg and come back into a plank position, release one knee at a time and sit back onto your heels, repeat on the other side."
