"Hello! My name is Samantha Rafael on behalf of expertvillage.com and you can visit me online at bepresentyoga.com. In this clip I’m going to be demonstrating side plank tree pose. So to get into this pose, begin by coming onto your hands and knees into a tabletop position, your legs should be about hips distance apart, your arms shoulders distance. Walk your hands in front of you a few more inches and then begin to lift your knees one at a time coming onto your tippy toes, push back through your heels, this will take some of the weight off of your shoulders but make sure that your shoulders are in line with you wrist. From here you’ll take your left hand from to the center of your mat and then begin to roll over to your right side, your feet should be stacked one on top of the other, you’ll lift your arms straight up towards the ceiling creating one straight line from your right fingertips to your left wrist. Begin to take your right foot into your left inner thigh, lift from your hips here as you come into the pose, so to get out of it begin to release your right leg down, release your right hand down, come back into a plank position, release one knee at a time and come back into a tabletop position, sit back onto your heels and switch sides."
