Video Transcript

"Hello! My name is Samantha Rafael on behalf of expertvillage.com and you can visit me online at bepresentyoga.com. In this clip I’ll be demonstrating half bound forward fold tree pose into a squatting balance pose. So to begin come into half bound tree pose, to do this take your right heel into the crease of your left hip, reach around with your right arm and grab onto your right big toe with your fore finger, middle finger and thumb of your right hand, release your left hand from your right foot and reach it up towards the ceiling. From here we’ll begin to forward fold, so lead with your chest here as you come up all the way over that left leg, so when you reach the ground with your left hand begin to bend your left knee, release your right hand down and squat down onto your left heel. So you’re sitting on your left heel now you’ll begin to take one hand and then both off of the ground balancing here for as long as you can about five breaths later release your hands down, slowly begin to strengthen out to your left knee, release your right foot down, forward fold here neutralizing your spine and then sweep your arms all the way up and release your arms to the side and repeat on the other side."
